From The Principal’s Desk

As Salaamu ‘Alaikum FTS Parents,
It has already been almost 3 weeks since school started mashaAllah!  But don’t let that fool you — we still haven’t completed a full week of school yet!  Our children are still just getting to know their new teachers, new environments, new classrooms, and new routines.  Each child is different – some are slow to warm up, some choose to quietly observe at first, whereas some jump in right away.  Something that plays an important role in helping your child feel more secure at school is when they bond with their teacher.  When parents encourage their children to trust that their teacher is looking out for them, and is glad to have them in her class, it goes a long way toward starting a healthy classroom relationship.  Below is an article about student and teacher connections during the first several weeks of school.
 
Upcoming Events
Sept 3:  No School – Labor Day
Sept 20:  Picture Day – No uniforms (reminders and forms will be sent closer to picture day).
Important Reminders
Deadline to submit immunization records to the office is Friday, September 14
Parking Lot: Please be extra careful at pick up and drop off time by driving slowly and following the designated route through the parking lot.
